Our mission is to strive for the dignity of journalists by upholding the ideology and vision of the founding leader of PFUJ Workers, Pervez Shaukat (Late). To turn this vision into reality, several impactful initiatives have been undertaken: FEC Meeting in Gujranwala: In the recently held Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Gujranwala, gifts worth 700,000 PKR—including irons, heaters, swings, and special presents for journalists’ children—were distributed.
We introduced high-quality, four-color official PFUJ Workers diaries featuring our logo, produced at a cost of 250,000 PKR. Legal Support: We have consistently provided a dedicated team of lawyers to defend journalists against baseless legal cases and FIRs. Legislative Milestones: The late Pervez Shaukat was instrumental in getting a landmark Short Ordinance approved from the Presidency. This law mandates media houses to provide life insurance for media workers and insurance for equipment used during professional duties.
